Buy A Budget Tablet in 2025? | Honor Pad V9 Review

Budget tablets like the Honor Pad V9 are proving popular in 2025, along with rivals like the OnePlus Pad 2 and Xiaomi Pad 7. I’ve been testing the Honor Pad V9 for a week now and here’s my full review, including gaming, battery life and the MagicOS experience.

For a budget price, this 11-inch Android tablet boasts some pretty impressive performance. Mediatek’s Dimensity 8350 ‘Elite’ can cope with gaming on Wuthering Waves, even on higher graphics settings. The Honor Pad V9 also serves up pretty decent battery life – approximately ten hours of mixed use on a single charge, with plenty of split-screen action.

That LCD display may lack the sharp contrast of OLED panels, but it’s still pleasing enough to your peepers for video streaming and games. That eight-speaker audio setup is good for watching movies too, even if it’s not as bassy as I’d like. The Honor Pad V9 boasts the latest MagicOS, with only a few obligatory AI features and zero crapware. However, software support will be rather lacking.

So that’s my review of this budget Android tablet, one of the most affordable in 2025 offering solid value for money. Are you tempted by the Honor Pad V9? Let us know below!

  1. After some advise can’t be arsed with the other boring tech specialists, I think it’s the ref to alcohol regularly that makes me sway to your advise 😬 pissed off with Apple so decided to give honor 9a or 10 go or Xiaomi pad 7, in a nut sack what would you go for? Cheers keep up the mediocre work 👍🏻
